We will not take a particular dwelling off the market until we receive a completed Application and any other required information or monies to rent that dwelling. The mission of Ark House is to provide low-cost temporary housing for out of town patients and their families while undergoing extended medical treatment in the Dallas area. Ark House began in 1985 as a project of the Ark Sunday School Class of First United Methodist Church Richardson. One of their class members, Ben Glomb, required extended cancer treatment at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston and his family found few options available for affordable housing. Ben and his wife suggested a Sunday School Class project might be to begin an apartment ministry to serve people coming to Dallas hospitals for medical treatment. Regrettably, Ben passed away before seeing the project implemented, but as a memorial to him, Ark House was created.
